NEW TO FAITH?

We are thrilled that you have said yes to Christ, and we want you to know: You are not alone!
This is the beginning of a beautiful journey in God’s family and we’re honored to walk with you.

Here are a few Scriptures to help you hold firm to what Christ has begun in you:

John 5:24 – “Whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.”

2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation: the old has gone,
the new has come!”

Philippians 1:6 – “Being confident of this, that He who began a good work  in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

We believe that faith is best lived out  through community in the local Church.

Below is a list of ways to connect and grow at
New City that will help you learn what it truly means to follow Christ.

SERVING ON
THE DREAM TEAM

- Once you finish Discover Track, joining a ministry team is a great next step to find connection,
share your gifts and get a front-row seat to see how God is at work in our city through our church!

Here’s a suggested rhythm to do at home to get you started  in your walk with Christ:

1. PRAY EACH MORNING WHEN YOU WAKE UP AND EACH NIGHT BEFORE YOU GO TO BED

What to do:
Talk to God honestly about your day.
Thank Him for the good, ask forgiveness for wrongs, and give Him your worries.

Why it matters:
Prayer keeps your heart close to God and reminds you that He is with you in every moment.

2. READ GOD'S WORD

What to do:
Read a chapter in the bible each morning or night.
We recommend starting in the book of John.

Why it matters:
The Bible is how God speaks to us. Reading His Word helps you understand who Jesus is and
how to follow Him.

3. REMEMBER GOD'S PROMISES

What to do:
Write down or say out loud one verse that encouraged you. (Example: John 3:16 or Romans 8:38–39.)

Why it matters:
God’s promises give you strength and remind you that nothing can separate you from His love.

4. EXAMINE YOUR DAY

What to do:
Ask yourself: “Did I love God and love people today?” Think of one way you saw God at work.

Why it matters:
This keeps your focus on living for Jesus in everyday life.
If you need help or have questions, we have several ways for you to reach out… chat with one of the prayer team leaders at the front of the sanctuary at the end of a Sunday gatherings, fill out a connect card (digital or paper version found in the back of a seat in our sanctuary) or email us at theoffice@newcity.church.
